Welcome to Riley Entertainment!

Cartoon image of Riley greeting you

Riley Entertainment is a variety website where you'll find content related to gaming and independent game development.

This is also the home of my Exploring Winnipeg Parks website, where Winnipeggers can find maps, photo galleries, and transportation information for parks throughout the city of Winnipeg.

Eve Online

Emblem for Eve Online PvE video guides

If you like exploring combat sites or special storyline missions in Eve Online, you'll find plenty of video guides both here, and on the main Riley Entertainment Youtube channel. I also produce video guides for event sites, and reaction videos to recent game patches or news related to PvE content.

As of early 2023, I recently completed my comprehensive set of 74 video guides for all high-security combat sites in New Eden.

By the end of 2023, I hope to have expanded my ship fitting guides to include regular cruisers for younger players, and certain faction cruisers for more experienced pilots. I'm also hoping to make significant progress on video guides for Abyssal Deadspace.

Exploring Winnipeg Parks

Emblem for the Exploring Winnipeg Parks website

Exploring Winnipeg Parks aims to become a comprehensive resource for Winnipeggers, and visitors to the city, looking to find parks for their family outings. This area of the website provides maps, transportation information, photo galleries, and links to external resources for public parks in the city of Winnipeg.

As of March of 2023, all city parks are now searchable, with dedicated park pages and photo galleries for over 25 parks in St. James Assiniboia, Assiniboine South, and River Heights. Expect new photo galleries to appear for dozens more parks throughout 2023, including many in the Fort Garry area.

Join the Exploring Winnipeg Parks facebook group for more photos and updates!

Game Development

Emblem for game development content

This is the home of my current and future independent video games, developed in the C++ language. I have plans to build up a series of learn-as-you-go guides related to the CMake build tools, the SFML library, and a variety of game development tools such as the Tiled map editor.

Films

Emblem for animated film content

I got the bug to create animated films after a friend got me a copy of The Movies by Lionhead Studios. Unfortunately this game was abandoned, and now only exists in various archives and blogs from its community members. Since then, a number of other machinima and pre-visualization tools have become available. Among the earliest spiritual successors was Moviestorm, which I plan to use should I become inspired to try my hands at animated filmmaking again.

Visit the Films section to watch my animated films from the 2006 through 2009 period.
